Sometimes
things that are bad can be good. Take slavery in America, for
example.
When
European settlers in the new world started importing slaves, they
were not just importing labor--they were unknowingly engineering a
forced migration of Africans to the Americas. This immigration
secured the availability of a cheap labor pool which greatly
increased the speed in which land was developed.
Even after the slaves were released, their continued residence provided a much needed labor base for the coming industrial revolution. Their emancipation was only one small step that contributed to the elaborate sub society present in current American culture. This sub society that continues to provide a significant labor boost, as well as make major cultural contributions.

in a type of static love frenzy
soft and gentle bites easily mistaken
for caresses of life but truly acrid
a solvent for whatever sin was borne
pale in the bitter bath or just a fragment
a fragment
of moonglow.

Now he walks the streets and claims to have a degree from a coastal university. His poor spelling gives him away
